Configured as an inline machine standard,
the MC388HS can have up to 192 feeders mounted on
the front and rear while still maintaining a generous
1200 x 370 mm (47.2" x 14.6") placement area
(which can be shared between PCBs and waffle trays).
Set Up to Suit Your Needs
The standard MC388HS configuration includes a 3-stage,
single-lane conveyor system with SMEMA interface and
auto width control. It also comes standard with
a fully adjustable, three-stage, single-lane inline conveyor for
PCBs up to 650 mm. For handling even longer boards,
two options exist:
1. A single-stage 1.2-meter upgrade that allows the
MC388HS to process boards up to four feet long —
such as those used for LED lighting—in a single pass.
2. A dual-stage conveyor option that
extends maximum PCB length to 1.5 meters.
Quickly and Accurately Place Just About Any SMD Component
Our standard optics package places parts as small as
01005s while still maintaining placement accuracy of
30 µm, 3 Sigma. At the other end of the spectrum,
MC388HS can place SMDs as large as 100 x 150 mm.
Alignment is accomplished via a dual-vision combination of
head-mounted Cognex® Flash Vision on-the-fly cameras and
stationary bottom cameras.
Full-vision alignment, which matches component leads,
balls, or bumps directly with the pads,
eliminates placement inaccuracies caused by
systems that locate and align to only the component body.
Easy-to-Use, Field-Tested Software
Our MC388HS pick and place machine uses the same robust,
Windows®-based software as all other MC-series machines.
Customer feedback over the past ten years has
created a very easy-to-use, stable, and reliable system.
Program via CAD import and conversion,
teaching or direct entry.
Component library covers all common component
package types and sizes (including resistors,
capacitors, diodes, SOTs, PLCCs, QFPs, SOJs, SOPs, etc.).
Component data links to Smart Feeder software for
easy setup and inventory control.
Virtual PCB Simulator displays a virtual assembly based
on programming data.
Fiducial mark search routines identify and correct for
PCB offset or misalignment.
Optimization tools analyze data and mix to
provide feeder arrangements that minimize head travel and tool changes.
An optional dispensing head can be installed to assign parameters to specific components.
Remote diagnostic software allows for
fast troubleshooting by Manncorp techs.
Assemble LED boards, backplanes, and other long panels.
