ARPAC’S TrayStar 2000 Series continuous motion tray loader
makes tray loading a variety of products fast and easy.
The TrayStar line integrates tray erecting,
product loading, and sealing,
into one inline continuous motion packing machine.
Wrap-around trays ensure that the product is
tightly fit preventing scuffing and product damage.

The system operation begins when the product is
transferred onto the infeed conveyor and separated into lanes.
The product is fed to horizontal starwheels and arranged into
the desired configuration.
Product is then conveyed into the flight bar assembly and
the configuration is pulled together with
the aid of product guides.

Simultaneously, a tray blank is pulled by a
vacuum pick off unit from a side mounted vertical hopper and
transferred through pinch rollers to
a blank lug conveyor located beneath the
product flight bar assembly.
The tray blank is advanced by a lug conveyor in
sync with the product being pushed by flight bars.
The product configuration is pushed by
the flight bar onto the tray blank as both are
entered into the tray pocket conveyor.

The blanks are then folded by the cam closing pocket
conveyor around the product.
The trailing edge minor flap is tucked into place by
rotary fingers. The side flaps of the carton are lifted and
held by guides while hot melt glue is applied by
controlled applicators. Pressure is applied to the glue flaps by
a horizontal compression section, and a tight,
squarely formed tray exits the compression section.
