An insufflation system can be used with Welch Allyn sigmoidoscopes to ease insertion of the instrument. Hydrophobic filters are available to prevent contamination of the insufflation bulb. They are attached using a Luer lock fitting.

Light Handle (73211) plus Power Supply (73305)

The Rectal Light Handle’s power supply (REF 73305) provides power from an appropriate wall outlet to the Rectal Light Handle (REF 73211) which houses the lamp (REF 07800). The Rectal Light Handle and its appropriate power supply provide an illumination system that is intended for use with Welch Allyn devices and/or accessories.



Sigmoidoscopes/anoscopes can be used with a choice of illumination systems—a 6 V system with optional on/off switch and rheostat control, or with Welch Allyn's 3.5 V/2.8 V or 2.5 V hand-held power

sources (with adaptors 73500 and 73550). 73500 adapter fits most Welch Allyn 3.5 V power handles 73550 adapter fits most Welch Allyn 2.5 V power handles (except PocketScope™)
