The Prism 100 applies a 3 to 5 micron film with
excellent uniformity and repeatability to rectangular shaped
wafers with hundreds of laser-cut micro vias.
Conventional spin coating techniques proved unsuitable for
this application due to clogging of the micro vias.

USI's proprietary "CAT-45 blade" ultrasonic spray technology
applies the Photoresist in a thin, uniform film to the wafer
without clogging the micro vias. This patented ultrasonic
technology virtually eliminates overspray compared with
other spray coating technologies.

The Prism 100 coating system is ideal for applying thin films to
flat substrates and is able to efficiently spray virtually any
liquid, from low viscosity fluxes and solvents to
more viscous adhesives, conformal coatings, conductive inks,
and photo imageable materials. The Prism 100 (photo included)
has an 18" x 18" spray application area
