Equipped with a pivoting bucky, the Mammomat 3000 enables fast
and simple switching between 18cm by 24cm and 24cm by 30cm formats.
The optimal collimation can be automatically pre-selected when the object table
is changed, making the 3000 ideally suited for imaging breasts of all sizes.
The x-ray tube of the Mammomat 3000 is motorized and isocentric which allows
it to rotate up to 130 degrees clockwise and 180 degrees counterclockwise.
These settings allow comfortable patient positioning during examination
and reduces the need for re-positioning.
The 3000 can also be upgraded into a digital system due to its ability
to integrate with a number of CR readers.
The syngo Opdima, the digital biopsy and spot imaging also allow
the Mammomat 3000 to perform stereotactic biopsies.
