2.1 SPECIFICATIONS:
2.2 DRYER ARCHE HORIZONTAL - # 3/3000 ft2 (50% solids)
• The dryer in a horizontal configuration with a slight arch.
• The dryer is constructed of 16-ga steel aluminizé in and 16-ga steel on the outside,
painted with a coat of alkyd enamel paint.
• The dryer and the SAU based on a steel structure. (The support structure is provided
by PCA)
• The dryer is insulated by a mineral wool 4" thick.
• The approximate size of the dryer is 18' by 144" wide by 60" high.
• Only one temperature control area.
SAU
• The unit will be installed on the back of the dryer. This system includes two
recirculation fans 40 HP - 30-RBI with a manually adjustable flap for recirculating 17.325
CFM air heated each. Total 34.650 CFM.
• the velocity of the nozzles is 6000 FPM on the upper surface of the material.
• The burner will have a capacity of 1.0 million BTU / hr type North American Lo-NOx
(NOx 0.1 Lb / million BTU), with a gas being endorsed by Canadian standards. (The
burner will be supplied by PCA).
• A 2000 CFM exhaust fan including a guillotine door.
• The maximum temperature of the dryer is 350 ° F.
• the air recirculation ducts are not isolated. The insulation of pipes will be made by PCA
after installation.
• The bearings are located outside the dryer mounted on the outer cage. The rollers are designed to be
cooled in the future, but does not include the rotary unions and cooling piping. (The
rollers and bearings will be provided by PCA)
• An access door is included with the SAU. Three anti-explosive doors are included on
the dryer allowing the operator to engage the material through the dryer.
• A Magnehelic gauge indicating the pressure of the plenum.
• The dryer will be manufactured in two sections to facilitate transportation and
installation.
