Olympus IX81 Inverted Microscope Motorized Fluorescence
This motorized inverted microscope setup for Brightfield with Fluorescence and Phase Contrast.
Please note: the Olympus IX81 Microscope is fitted with Phase Contrast rings only - and would need matching Phase Contrast objective.
Condition:
This Olympus IX81 Microscope is in good working order with all aspects tested and working fully.
All optics of this microscope have been cleaned professionally by our technician under a class 10,000 clean room hood.
Please see the exact video and photos below.
Testing we performed:
The Olympus IX81 Microscope passed all tests and was found to be fully functional:
Tested Halogen Lamp and source fully
Tested Fluorescence Lamp and lightpath fully
Tested connection from Camera to Computer
Tested live feed from the camera to computer
Tested Connection and Control of all motorized Components on IX81 via Laptop/Micromanager software
Tested the Port splitter to switch between all ports
Tested all filters and prisms
Tested Z-axis adjustment and focus
Tested mechanical stage to its limits
Tested all microscope buttons and adjustments to be working fully
Tested Communication and Control of the Microscope from Computer
Tested all Motorized components including: Fluorescence Turret, Objective Turret, Z-Axis, Illumination Intensity and Light Path Switching.
During testing this microscope was found to have no issues.
A clear image was produced through the eyepieces as well as through the camera port.
All of the mechanical and Motorized components moved freely and the test sample was able to be focused without excessive effort.

Video Description:
The video starts off with a full view of the entire Olympus IX81 Microscope. The camera pans around the system showing all included aspects.
The control pad is used to move the motorized nosepiece. The motorized Z-axis is used to bring the sample back into focus.
The stage is moved around showing live feed. The halogen lamp is turned off and the fluorescence filter turret is rotated using the control pad.
The Laptop is then connected to the Olympus IX81 Microscope via MicroManager software.
The software is used to rotate the objective turret and fluorescence turret. There is one final view of the Olympus IX81 Microscope.
