Optos Daytona Digital Retinal Scanner
ASIA (South East)
The Optos Daytona Digital Retinal Scanner is one of
the most cutting edge medical instruments out right now.
It uses two laser wavelengths to penetrate deep into the eye,
scanning the retina very quickly.
The procedure is done in less than five seconds per eye, usually.
Optos Daytona Digital Retinal Scanner produces a
200° single-capture optomap retinal image of
unrivaled clarity in less than ½ second.
This fast, easy, patient friendly, ultra-widefield imaging
technology was designed for healthy eye screening and
has been shown to improve practice flow and
patient engagement.
Another advantage of this high tech machine is that
due to the aperture of the machine, it is able to
take a high quality scan of the retina without
requiring the patient to be dilated .
That is right, this machine requires no dilatation for
scanning the retina.
Optos Daytona Digital Retinal Scanner represents the
next generation of Optos ultra-wide field retinal imaging
technology, and has been scaled to accommodate smaller
office spaces while providing high resolution imaging,
and adding new auto-fluorescence capabilities.
OPTOMAP EXAMS ARE MORE COMFORTABLE
Some people find eye dilation painful because of
the stinging caused by drops. During an Optomap exam,
nothing tangible touches your eye.
You just have to look into the Optomap device and
the optometrist will use the device to take the retinal image.
OPTOMAP EXAMS ARE FASTER
Capturing an image with the Optomap takes less than a second.
Your optometrist can see the retinal images immediately and
make a reliable diagnosis in a short amount of time.
OPTOMAP IMAGES ARE SAVED PERMANENTLY
Retinal images taken with the Optomap are
stored permanently. This means that your optometrist can
easily pull up relevant images for a visual comparison of
your eyes from years earlier.
The ability to compare the retinal images side-by-side helps your optometrist identify changes to your eyes over time. Plus, because the images are digital, they can easily be sent to
a specialist if your optometrist wants a second opinion.
