King KI-204 VOR / LOC / Glideslope Indicator

The KI-204 is the best current production King VOR/LOC/Glideslope Indicator with a VOR/LOC converter. It has rectilinear meter movements, instead of pendulum, which makes it easier to read. This is especially nice when flying an ILS, since the needles stay perpendicular to each other. This feature helps the pilot to better determine the degree of correction needed to follow the approach accurately. The KI-204 features:

The King KI-204 may be used with the following equipment:

KX-170B NAV/COMM
KX-175B NAV/COMM
KX-155 NAV/COMM 14V (with Glideslope)
KX-155 NAV/COMM 28V (with Glideslope)
KN-53 NAV receiver (with Glideslope)

This indicator does not contain a Glideslope Receiver, so it needs that information from another source. If you have a KX-170 series or KX-175 series NAV/COMM, then the KN-75 remote mount Glideslope Receiver is the most common solution. If you have a KX-155 or KN-53 without Glideslope, you may be able to trade your radio for one that does contain a Glideslope Receiver.
