Image processing: Esaote offers many technologies for image enhancement.
With TEI™, the harmonic signal is totally preserved without any degradation
of the acoustic information.
MView and XView improve the quality of ultrasound images by reducing the presence of artifacts, background noise and overlapping.
CnTI™ - Contrast-tuned imaging for procedures with contrast agents: CnTI™,
Esaote's revolutionary technology combined with the latest generation
of contrast agents for ultrasound provides impressive clinical results due
to the extremely precise detection of microbubbles.
The very low acoustic pressure applied allows to increase the lifetime of the bubbles,
in view of a clear identification of the arterial and late phase.
The very high sensitivity of the probes and the low level of noise
and artefacts allow precise diagnoses, both for the detection
and the characterization of lesions.
A dedicated quantification tool for contrast is also available.
HD CFM and XFlow - Extraordinary Flow Sensitivity and Spatial Resolution:
Color Doppler mode resolution and sensitivity are of great importance
for blood flow assessment, especially when flow velocity and size are limited.
HD CFM technology helps the user to set the correct setting
to obtain the maximum clinical information.
For special diagnostic processes where morphological information
is more important than hemodynamics itself, XFlow produces images
of high clarity with minimal artifacts, and less dependence on insonation angle.
High Frequency Imaging: Esaote's historic leadership
in high frequency imaging ensures an unexpected level of detail
in applications where superficial images are required.
22 MHz transducers, XView, MView, ElaXto and X4D applications,
as well as the "A Universe under the mm" software package are just
a few examples of the technological potential of the MyLab™Class C system.
The clinical results are simply astounding, as they open up new fields of research
and take diagnosis to another level. State-of-the-art technologies such
as ElaXto and X4D are implemented not as additional qualitative information,
but as an important quantitative suite to produce an objective and rapid diagnosis.
X4D Technology: The advanced 3D/4D software package benefits from innovations
in conventional 2D ultrasound image visualization through sophisticated
algorithms and is capable of producing exceptional 3D/4D volume reconstructions.
Measurements of length, area, perimeter, diameter and angle as well
as volume areas in a multidimensional display allow quantitative analysis
and qualitative acquisition, associated with a particular database
that allows archiving of all sets of personal data.
RFQIMT - RF-Based Qualitative Measurement of Intima Media Thickness
for Early Detection of Cardiovascular Diseases: RFQIMT technology aims
to measure the thickness of a blood vessel in the area of the carotid artery selected
for the 'review. Its ease of use combined
with real-time qualitative feedback helps the operator achieve accurate
and repeatable results. Measurements (even if taken at different times during the exam)
can be plotted in a standardized chart displayed with readout indicators
to help physicians make diagnoses and treatment procedures.
RFQAS - Qualitative measurement of arterial stiffness for the early detection
of cardiovascular diseases: The RFQAS technology aims
to measure the stiffness of a blood vessel in the area of the carotid artery selected
for examination. The stiffness of the wall of blood vessels is expressed
by brachial arterial pressure and the accurate measurement of the diameter
and its changes.
The local blood pressure at the site of the ultrasound measurements is also taken.
Local blood pressure and stiffness are derived as quantitative results
on bse from sophisticated clinical studies.
Automatic measurement and adjustment: The quantification of the Doppler profile
is absolutely an important problem in cardiology as well as
in vascular ultrasound examinations.
Once the volume of interest has been determined and the Doppler trace
is displayed on the monitor, the user can select real-time evaluation
of all critical clinical parameters by activating the ADM function.
Using the image freeze mode of your choice, you can also trace the Doppler contour
and automatically read the maximum, average and minimum values.
Features like EF (Ejection Fraction) and ADM (automatic measurement)
calculation provide quantification of the most important clinical parameters
in a very short time.
CFI (Coronary Flow Imaging) - Coronary Flow Imaging for the evaluation
of coronary artery blood flow and its main characteristics:
The evaluation of coronary blood flow characteristics is also significant
with respect to baseline cardiac activity without no external induction cardiac stress.
If a CFI Color Doppler preset is enabled, the signal
from the coronary artery blood flow is optimized with respect
to many components of the concomitant blood flow velocity present
in the atria and ventricles of the heart.
The combination of Cardiac iQ-probe and CFI (Coronary Flow Imaging)
preset provides superior performance in CFM/PW modes
for coronary flow detection and measurement.
XStrain™: XStrain™ is a non-invasive tool to better explore myocardial function
and quantify aspects of heart physiology that were not possible to detect
and quantify with previous ultrasound technologies. Myocardial Velocity,
Myocardial Overload and Overload Rate provide early detection
of deficiencies in cardiac function (assessed as ejection fraction or stroke rate).
Based on an angle-independent technology, the XStrain™ function makes it possible
to evaluate the contractility of both the left and right ventricles.
XStrain™ is an innovative tool for the mechanical evaluation
of cardiac wall motion.
Advanced Virtual Navigator tool for Fusion imaging (US and CT/MR/PET-CT):
the Virtual Navigator tool with Fusion imaging applied
to ultrasound improves the information produced by an ultrasound system thanks
to the combination with a second modality of imaging (CT, MR, PET or 3D US)
in real time, thus offering all the advantages of different modalities
in the same examination.
Virtual Biopsy - Advanced biopsy also in very complex approaches:
the Virtual Biopsy function allows monitoring of a percutaneous procedure
by superimposing the needle tracking information on the ultrasound image in real time.
