Advanced Illumination
The Stellaris PC comes with two light sources: a xenon lamp (the current industry standard), and a mercury vapor lamp.
The xenon light source is familiar to most surgeons. It provides a “brighter, whiter” light that’s best suited to illuminate all the details of the eye’s anatomy.
Longer surgical procedures benefit from the mercury vapor lamp making it ideal for use in longer surgical procedures.
Furthermore, the Stellaris PC is the only vitrectomy unit that comes fully equipped with three integrated color filters — green, yellow and amber — providing the surgeon with customized tissue differentiation.
