re-built 25 ton Bucyrus Erie / 40-C Hydraulic crane with 70′ of hydro
boom + 20′ of lattes jib. Any one can run this crane it is so easy you
no longer need a experienced friction crane operator! There is a
wench set up for free fall like a friction crane with all new cylinders, and break bands, but does need two solenoids installed. This crane
has been gone threw from top to bottom restoring this crane and
getting it ready for a barge. The crane is set up for a Barge and is low
profile to get under bridges, the crane is 9′ tall from under carriage to
the top of the cab. The Cab has a window AC unit. The crane weighs
27,370 lbs and the boom is 9,000 lbs total weight is approximately
36,370 lbs. New sheet metal made and it was powder coated with 2
costs of primer and two costs of top coat powder coating. The rest of
the crane has been sand blasted and painted with top of the line
PPG industrial epoxy coating and the under carriage has been
painted with coal tar epoxy. All the hydro cylinders have been re-
sealed a HUGE project as well as all new hydraulic hoses, control
lines etc….. Motor has about 10 hours sense valve adjustment and
full service by a certified Detroit diesel mechanic. Hydo fluid has
been changed to Ecoterra 68 environmentally safe hydro. oil. New
batteries, seat, cab glass, radiator, oil cooler, etc. Owner has decided not to go into the big barge business and that is the reason for the
sale.
