The gauge for hoisery if very fine and usually 75 gg. Socks and hoisery machines will produce all types of socks and hoisery for fashion and also for medical use such as compression stockings. Until recent years Lonati was dominating the socks and hoisery machinery market but since few years some Chinese socks and hoisery machine makers are becoming more and more popular. Their prices are very attractive and the quality is accepted by socks and hoisery producers.

Questions and answers from buyers and sellers:

Q: how many Lonati socks knitting machines can you load in a container?
A: If you put the Lonati knitting machines on the container floor you can put 3 on the width of the machine and 10 on the lenght. So total will be around 30 machines because you need some space for the accessories. If you put the machines on palettes you can put on the width of the container. To total will be 20 machines. If you have very old machines you can put them on the floor because few scratches will not disturb you too much. If machines are very recent you will prefer to have them well protected and therefore it is better to put them olettes.
