Q&A corner - questions and answers received from members

Q: What is your PLASTICISERS CF MULTIFILAMENT PP YARN machine producing currently?
A: It is now producing 300 denier/72 filaments intermingled pp cf multifilament yarn.

Q : What yarn tenacity was made so far? Highest possible tenacity for 800 denier yarn?
A : The machine itself is for high tenacity production. 4,5 gr/denier, medium tenacity yarn manufactured according to the yarn customer’s request; but with special raw material (for high tenacity yarn raw material) higher tenacities can be achieved.

Q; What are the meaning of all these abreviations such as POY, FDY, DTY, BCF, CP etc
FDY: Fully Drawn Yarn
LOY: Low Oriented Yarn,
MOY: Medium Oriented Yarn,
POY: Partially Oriented Yarn,
HOY: High Oriented Yarn,
FOY: Fully Oriented Yarn
DTY : Draw Textured Yarn or also False Twist Texturing
PET: Polyethylene terephthalate fibre
PES: Polyester
BCF : Bulked Continuous Filament
THere are many more and the list will be very long. Don't hesitate to ask us.

Q : Where can I find makers for lines to produce yarn for BCF for carpet use?
A: We have helped a buyer to dismantle and load such a line in France. The line was customs made and the key parts of the line such as the reactors and flashers where 40 years old and the maker was not a textile machine manufacturer. Such lines are designed by an engineering company for the customeraccroding to his needs and then each element of the line will be manufacturered for him only. The customer who bought this line was more intersted by the engeneering and improvement made on this line in the past 40 years than on the machines themselves.

Q : Please send more details about history of your used Autefa, Barmag, Neumag Staple Fiber Plant Complete Production Line capacity 35-40 tonnes per day. Also is it suitable for viscose?
A : Spinning is for Polyester polymers – vsicose is a totally different system. From the finishing line (drawing etc) it could be – but we are not sure … We purchased this line used (orinal from the 70's) in the 2003 but started in 2006 after full renovation and upgarding. This Staple Fiber line is having a two step process which is very good in order to have better textiel-physical parameters, especially regarding the elongation, the shrinkage and the tenacity !!! … ans such a two step process is of course also more efficient and flexible becaus in case there is a problem in the line only one step has to stop and the other step can still continue.
Originally it is from the 70's but it has been continuously updated.
Since 2006 again many new investments have been undertaking - new parts, new areas – only the last couple of years big new engines were integrated and the baling press was totally reworked !
